Brigitta Cymerint is an attorney at Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP and focuses her practice on catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases in California.
Ms. Cymerint received her J.D. degree from Southwestern Law School with a concentration in Civil Litigation. While there, she was the President of the Consumer Law Society where she along with the executive board worked to host renowned trial lawyers in this field to speak to students and educate them on the importance of justice. It was through this organization that she discovered her passion for consumer law.
During law school, Ms. Cymerint was a teaching assistant for Professor Kutty for the 1L legal writing course, a role she obtained through her exceptional performance as a student. She also worked as a research assistant for Professor Michael Dorff contributing research, editing, and feedback for his book Becoming a Public Benefit Corporation: Express Your Values, Energize Stakeholders, Make The World A Better Place.
In addition, Ms. Cymerint participated in the Street Law Clinic at Southwestern Law School, serving as both a teacher and a teaching assistant for the course. She taught law to students at Magnolia Park High School for individuals with impaired social-emotional functioning and severe emotional disturbance. Her curriculum included Criminal law, Constitutional law, Education law, Employment law, Housing law, Consumer law, and Health law.
Among her academic achievements, Ms. Cymerint was awarded the Wildman/Schumacher Scholarship as well as the JVS Scholarship due to her family being immigrants that were Holocaust survivors.
Her legal experience began at Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP where she clerked during her 1L summer and continued throughout her 2L and 3L years.
Before pursing law, Ms. Cymerint had a career in the wine industry where she worked for wineries and distributors. She obtained an accredited MBA with a concentration in Wine Strategies from Sonoma State University, one of only two such programs in the world, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Wine Strategies also from Sonoma State University.
Ms. Cymerint is a Southern California native and an active member of the State Bar of California, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), and the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC).
